Prepping: Shredded Pork

So this is what a 3lb center pork loin looks like after approximately 15 minutes of work but lots of hours. The secret? A crockpot.

I chopped about 3/4 of  a sweet onion and put half of that along the bottom of the crockpot. I put the pork in and seasoned with Salt, Pepper, Paprika and Garlic Powder. I topped with some more onions and then added in about an inch around the bottom of Chicken Broth ( I didn’t have beef broth on hand).

I turned it on “low” at 9:30pmish and turned it on “keep warm” at 7am. Tonight at 6:30pm I took two forks and shredded it up! Once that was done I used a slotted spoon to put the meat in one container while putting the yummy juices in another. Now I have pork to use all week – add BBQ, hot sauce, spices, lime – doesn’t matter!
