Paleo Pizza: Take 1

So yesterday I was craving pizza and this was the best thing I’ve  done in a while.  If you click on the picture you will get the recipe I used for the crust.  I did everything the same but didn’t use the cheese in the crust and only added a bit on top.  My only thing I would say is that I wished I cooked the crust fro a bit longer. I used a cookie sheet with parchment paper and it just wasn’t crunchy enough. I also squished the edges a bit to git it a bit more of a crush feel.

Also – rolling out a dough to make a square – tricky.

Once my crust was done, I used organic pizza sauce, two slices of ham, a handful of pineapple diced and a bit of mozzarella cheese. I know cheese isn’t paleo but I already was making homemade pizza instead of calling up one of my ten favorite pizza places that delivery in 20 minutes flat.

I cooked this for about 15 minutes and just kept checking on it after that until it had a few brunt type marks. I took it out of the oven and then put it back on by placing the parchment paper right on the rack for about 5 minutes.

I ate half the pizza. Whoops.

  1. Looks great! Couldn’t see your crust recipe, there is a good one in Primal Cravings cookbook….gets crisp! Plus try Rumianos Mozerrella (from Grassfed Cows)…. it is good cheese! You can find it at Whole Foods! Love Pizza!
