Mushroom Shallot Pork Chops

2015/01/img_8520.jpgI am going to start this post by saying this “I stole this idea off pinterest.” There I said it. I had never used pinterest before for ideas for food, or well I had saved them but just never actually used them.

I struggle with making pork chops interesting. I just really don’t enjoy pork chops all together. I had bought some because I was low on dollars and then bam I found myself on the hunt for a fast and furious recipe.

I landed on this. I had nearly every ingredient except I used dried parsley and a little bit less mushrooms and a little more shallots than the recipe recommended. Sometimes you just gotta work with what you got.  Oh,and I totally skipped the mustard.  FUN FACT ALERT: I hate mustard. Even this tiny amount 1 tbsp I would have been able to taste – HECK NO!

I steamed some broccoli on the side to get that veggie intake.

This total (and yes I even used the timing in the recipe) took me about 30 min – probably less. I did a lot of chopping while sauteing, while cooking. You multitask everyday – time to start multitasking in the kitchen folks.
